Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Precedo, a case-management service for advocates and chambers. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. Acceptance of these terms
You may use Precedo only if you accept these terms. If you are registering on behalf of a chamber or firm, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these terms.
2. Accounts and chambers
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Each chamber you create is a separate workspace; the owner of a chamber controls who may access it.
3. Plans, trials and payment
Precedo is offered on a Free plan and on paid monthly or yearly plans. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial: you authorise a payment mandate (UPI Autopay or a card) when you subscribe, the first charge is taken when the trial ends, and if you cancel before then nothing is charged. Razorpay may take a small token amount when you authorise the mandate, to verify it; it is refunded straight away. One free trial is available per account. Plan limits, such as the number of cases, clients or chambers, are shown on the plan and enforced in the service.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the subscription page; cancelling stops the renewal and access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial: cancel during the trial and nothing is charged, and plan or seat changes made during the trial apply at once, since nothing has been paid yet. After your first payment you may ask for a full refund on request within 7 days of the first charge, once per account; it is returned to the original payment method through Razorpay and appears within 5–7 working days. After those 7 days no refund is made for the running period, and yearly plans are not prorated. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated by Razorpay; downgrades and seat reductions take effect at the end of the current period, so no credit is issued. Duplicate or erroneous charges are refunded in full at any time. The Free plan has nothing to refund. Refund requests go to the support address below.
5. Your data
You retain all rights to the case, client and document information you enter. You grant Precedo the limited right to store and process that information solely to provide the service to you.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service: for example, by attempting to access another chamber's data, interfering with the service's operation, or using it in breach of applicable law or professional rules.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Precedo available, but it is provided "as is" without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Precedo is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
